2014-06-26 Shortly after safely landing flight NZ175 from Perth to Auckland the Pilot in Command, Ann Barbarich, collasped from a suspected Brain Aneursym. The Pilot was inder going final flight trainign at the time. Another Pilot took control and taxiied the aircraft to stand where medical personnel boarded the aircraft and attended to Mrs Barbarich. Sadly Mrs Barbarich passed away two days later with her family by her bedside in hospital. Our thoughts are with her and her friends, colleagues and family.

2014-11-26 Whilst performing flight NZ-175 from Auckland to Perth, the aircraft was on its decent into Perth when the aircraft was struck by lightning. The aircraft continued for a safe landing on Perth's runway 24 at 16:35 local time and taxied to the apron with the crew maintaining routine communication at all times. A post flight inspection revealed scorch marks on the fuselage, the aircraft was unable to depart for its return flight NZ176, which was cancelled.
